Welcome Dr. Huaizhong Li, Griffith University, Australia to be the TPC!

Dr. Huaizhong Li, Griffith University, Australia

Dr Huaizhong Li is working at the School of Engineering and Built Environment, Griffith University. He obtained a B.E. degree from Tsinghua University, M.E. from Xi’an Jiaotong University, and Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Dr Li has extensive industrial and academic experience. He had worked as an Engineer and Project Manager in industry for 7 years before he obtained a research scholarship to pursue his PhD study at NUS in 1998. He was a Senior Research Engineer at Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) from 2001 to 2008, and an Associate Principal Engineer with Vestas Technology R&D Singapore from 2008 to 2010. Before joining Griffith University in 2014, he was a Lecturer at the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, UNSW Australia, from 2011 to 2014.
Dr Li's research interests include advanced manufacturing technologies, micromachining, machine dynamics, vibration monitoring and control, and mechatronics. He has published over 100 referred technical articles in international journals and conference proceedings, scholarly book chapters, and filed 2 patent applications. He has supervised a number of PhD students to completion. He is a recipient of the prestigious Thatcher Bros Prize by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK, in 2015. Dr Li's research is strongly application oriented. He has closely collaborated with industry in many different aspects. He successfully completed several industrial projects to solve vibration-related problems for companies in the development of precision machines and for the improvement of manufacturing productivity.  
Dr Li is teaching courses in the mechanical engineering discipline, including design of machine elements, manufacturing technologies, materials and manufacturing, precision engineering and prototyping, etc. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and Fellow of the Griffith Learning and Teaching Academy. He has also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from Griffith University. He also serves as HDR convenor in the School.
