Zhejiang University of Technology  is the first provincial and ministerial jointly built university in the eastern coastal region, one of the first national "Higher Education Innovation Ability Enhancement Plan" (2011 Plan) collaborative innovation center led universities, and one of the first key construction universities in Zhejiang Province. It is located in Hangzhou, a famous historical and cultural city in China and a scenic tourist destination. The school has three campuses: Chaohui, Pingfeng, and Moganshan, covering an area of 3333 acres. It has 26 secondary colleges and 1 department, as well as an independent college - Zhijiang College. There are currently 20536 regular full-time undergraduate students, 14561 various graduate students, and 1037 international students on campus.


There are 3389 faculty members in the school, including 2486 full-time teachers, including 4 academicians of the CAE Member, 4 academicians of the two academies, 11 special experts of Zhejiang Province, 3 distinguished professors of Changjiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education, 6 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 11 leading talents of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", 3 national famous teachers, 4 young Changjiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education, 12 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars There are 3 top young talents in the national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", 10 national level young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions, and 12 selected candidates for the "Million and Ten Million Talents Project" of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. There are currently 63 undergraduate enrollment majors, covering 12 categories including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art, and interdisciplinary studies.


The university has 13 first level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 2 doctoral professional degree authorization categories, 30 first level discipline master degree authorization points, 3 first level discipline master degree authorization points that do not cover the second level discipline, 22 master professional degree authorization categories, and 9 post doctoral mobile stations. Nine disciplines, including chemistry, engineering, material science, environmental science and ecology, agricultural science, biology and biochemistry, computer science, pharmacology and toxicology, and general introduction of social science, have entered the top 1% of global ESI.
